COVID-19 restrictions.


Due to the above, the Club’s Committee have decided the following


The club will REOPEN w.e.f. Monday 01JUN20.

  Tuesday, as ‘club night’, CANNOT be held until further notice,

HOWEVER, Tuesday afternoons and evenings are to be reserved for maintenance ONLY during the summer months.


Please ensure that when you attend the club, you follow the government’s advice regarding ‘social distancing’, hand sanitising etc., and contact with people not from your own household.




It is with deep regret that we announce the death of our Club President, Brian Gill. Brian had been a club member for nearly 50 years and represented the club on many regional and national shooting events. He was a popular and enthusiastic supporter of the club and of shooting in general. His company, friendship and extensive experience will be sadly missed by all his friends at the Old Mill.







XMAS SHOOT 2019


Due to technical reasons, the proposed “executive shoot” was postponed.

However, rising to the occasion, John produced his Umarex .45 Long Colt and a closely fought competition ensued, with SIMON MARTIN gaining the only ‘poss’













MAJOR UPDATE FOR THE 100yds RANGE


Repairs/upgrade to the 100 yds range are nearing completion.

A special competition will be organised to celebrate the completion of the necessary work. Please watch the notice board for further details.













High Muzzle Energy firearms and

Certification of shooters


Additional restriction have been introduced that will affect ALL shooters on MoD ranges (including Bisley). With immediate effect, a new 200 yard zeroing restriction is required for firearms with a muzzle energy greater than 4500J.

Please remember, that since the 1st January 2009, ALL shooters on MoD ranges (which, again, includes Bisley) will need to carry a card showing that they have been certified as being safe and competent in the relevant firearm type they wish to use.
